There is a new scam going around Carlisle that involves a representative from Residents Energy who will come to your home and tell you that they can take the charges on your Comed and People gas bill and cancel it. They are very pushy and will try to get you to sign up for their service.
Signing Up
If you are considering signing up for residents energy cancellation, there are several things to consider. First, you should make sure that the company you are signing up with is legitimate and that they offer service in your area. You can do this by searching the name online or asking whomever you speak with for their employee number.
Secondly, be aware of the sales tactics that these people use. This type of telemarketing is a form of fraud, and you should always be wary of anyone who asks for your Comed and People’s gas bill. It is also a sign that they are not legitimate sales representatives, and you should never enroll in an electricity plan with them unless you are absolutely certain that the company they are working for is genuine.
Lastly, be sure to read the fine print and terms of service. This will help you decide if residents energy cancellation is right for you and your family.
Payment Options
There are two options available when it comes to paying your monthly electricity bills. You can choose a Variable Price plan or a Fixed Price (ResiSure) plan.
If you select the Variable Price plan, the pricing for your electricity supply will vary each month at Residents Energy’s discretion. This price is based on several factors including, but not limited to, current conditions in the PJM wholesale electric market, capacity costs, settlement costs, hedging costs, balancing costs, line loss costs, costs to comply with any applicable renewable portfolio standards and Residents Energy’s expenses and margins.
If you select the Fixed Price (ResiSure) option, this Agreement will commence as of the date Customer’s enrollment with Residents Energy is deemed effective by the EDC and will continue for 12 months thereafter (“Initial Term”). At the end of the Initial Term, Customers may renew this Agreement for another Fixed Term by providing Residents Energy with written notice at least 45 days prior to the renewal period.
Customer Service
One of the best parts about signing up for a new energy supply plan is being able to take advantage of customer service representatives who are genuinely interested in helping you find a solution that is right for you. You can check out your account online, or call in for a chat about your bill and what your options are. The company may also have a customer service app that you can download to your phone, or use on your computer if you prefer. The company is also known for their stellar customer satisfaction scores and the perks they provide in the form of freebies, gifts and discounts. The company also has a large library of resources on their website that can help you answer all of your questions. The company is also well positioned to provide you with the best possible rate for your next power bill.
